HALF DAY TOUR
1/2 day tours – Start at 10 am or 2 pm – minimum 4 hours | All trips will run all year-round | Prices are for 2 people. No discount for 1 person.
We will leave Aberystwyth heading North and travel along both sides of the Dovey Estuary passing through Machynlleth the Ancient Capital of Wales as we head for Aberdovey.
The Dysynni Valley will be our first stop at Castell Y Bere, a castle built by Llewelyn the Great, the Prince of Wales to guard the route into southern Snowdonia.
We will travel passed Tal Y Llyn and head towards Crossfoxes.
We leave Crossfoxes and head over the mountain pass and down a steep descent into Dinas Mawddwy passed the Brigands Inn named after the notorious band of brigands who used to terrorise the area.
We visit the ancient capital of Wales Machynlleth with the Owain Glyndwr Institute where Owain Glyndwr held his first Parliament in the 15th C. Our return journey to Aberystwyth will take us passed the famous “Mach Clock”.
