ABOUT SEAN
Sean was born near Llanidloes in the heart of Mid Wales, where his early years were shaped by the rugged landscapes and forested valleys of the region. As the son of a Forestry Commission officer, his family moved frequently throughout Mid Wales, allowing Sean to attend four different schools and develop a deep, personal connection to the land and its people.
He went on to build a distinguished 30-year career in law enforcement, serving with the police force in Welshpool, Newtown and Llandrindod Wells. During those decades, Sean operated patrol vehicles and motorcycles across the full span of Mid Wales, gaining an unrivalled knowledge of the region’s roads, communities and history.
Following retirement from the police, Sean combined his operational expertise with a lifelong passion for Welsh heritage to provide guided motorcycle tours. That path led him to train professionally and join the Wales Official Tourist Guide Association (WOTGA), where he qualified as a Green Badge Guide.
Sean now holds two Green Badge qualifications — covering both North Wales and South East Wales — recognising his deep regional expertise and commitment to professional standards. He is currently undertaking the prestigious Blue Badge training, the highest level of tourist guiding accreditation in the UK, which will qualify him to guide across all of Wales.

Today, Sean serves as Chair of WOTGA, representing professional guides across Wales. In this capacity, he works closely with organisations such as Visit Wales, the Wales Tourism Alliance, and senior officials in the Welsh Government, contributing to policy development and supporting the strategic direction of Welsh tourism.
Through his tours, Sean offers guests more than an itinerary — he shares the story of Wales through authentic interpretation, extensive local knowledge and a personal commitment to excellence.
