ABOUT US

Mid Wales Tours is owned and run by Sean Westlake a trained Tour Guide and a member of WOTGA, The Wales Official Tourist Guide Association. Mid Wales Tours are based in Aberystwyth, Mid Wales.

Sean is one of the very few official tour guides based in Mid Wales. He has an extensive background in motorcycling. He has been riding motorcycles for the past forty-four years and rode police patrol motorcycles for twenty-five years. He is qualified to train new motorcyclists to test standard and is an examiner for the Institute of Advanced Motorists for both cars and motorcycles.

As a result, he has been providing advanced training/touring tours for motorcyclists for the last fifteen years. As a qualified tour guide, Sean wanted to offer the non-motorcyclist an opportunity to experience not only the thrill of motorcycling but the ability to experience the best that Mid Wales has to offer from a new perspective.

To meet that goal Sean set about being able to provide fully licensed and insured private hire tours, using a motorcycle and sidecar combination. As far as we are aware, Mid Wales Tours is the only company in the UK to provide this service.

Mid Wales Tours vision is to provide clients with a five star tourist experience. Mid Wales Tours want to show off the fantastic sights and sounds in this undiscovered part of the world from a unique perspective.

Mid Wales Tours will provide a selection of half day and full day motorcycle and sidecar tours that start and finish in Aberystwyth.

The half day tours start either at 10.00 and finish at 14.00 or will start at 14.00 and finish at1800.

The full day tours start at 09.00 and will finish at 17.00. Finish times are approximate and may depend upon things outside our control.
