
FOUR-DAY DRIVER

Day One: Cardiff to Hay-on-Wye
Your driver-guide, Sean, will greet you in Cardiff and lead a walking tour of the vibrant Cardiff Bay, exploring its maritime heritage and modern landmarks.
Next, we visit St Fagans National Museum of History, where you’ll stroll through centuries of Welsh life among reconstructed buildings and gardens.
In the afternoon, travel to Caerleon, once a Roman fortress town, to explore the Roman Baths and Amphitheatre.
We continue via the hauntingly beautiful Tintern Abbey, nestled in the Wye Valley, before arriving at your accommodation in Hay-on-Wye, the renowned “Town of Books.”
Day Two: Hay-on-Wye to Lake Vyrnwy
Enjoy a leisurely morning browsing Hay’s eclectic bookshops, from rare antiquarian finds to quirky modern titles.
Sean will then collect you for a scenic drive to the Elan Valley, where you’ll visit the impressive Victorian dams and reservoirs set within a dramatic landscape.
Your day concludes at your overnight accommodation near Lake Vyrnwy, surrounded by forested hills and tranquil waters.
Day Three: Lake Vyrnwy to Conwy
We begin with a tour through the mountain roads to Bala, home to Llyn Tegid, the largest natural lake in Wales.
Visit the Mary Jones World museum, which tells the inspiring story of a young girl whose journey helped spark a global movement.
Continue to Betws-y-Coed, the alpine gateway to Snowdonia, with time to explore its charming village and woodland trails.
We end the day in the medieval walled town of Conwy, where your accommodation awaits.
Day Four: Conwy to Anglesey and Onward
Start with a walking tour of Conwy Castle and town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site steeped in history.
Then cross into Anglesey, pausing at the two iconic bridges over the Menai Strait.
Visit the village with the famously long name — Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch — and continue to the dramatic cliffs of South Stack, the western tip of the island.
From here, you’ll be transported to your next accommodation or onward destination.
